studio holler is a collaborative initiative of three textile artists: Kimberly Joy of Backstiched Design, Nellie Rose of Nellie Rose Textiles & Cara Danae of Tiny LLama.
Back in May 2020, in response to the COVID-19 public health crisis, clothing maker Nellie Rose founded Holler! Maskforce, a decentralized volunteer operation of home sewists who were making cloth masks for Health Care Providers, essential workers and immune-compromised individuals. As professional makers and small creative business owners, Nellie, Kim, and Cara came together to create the Holler! Maskforce headquarters. Combining their superpowers, studios & storefronts, they started working together to make as many masks as possible to donate via the Maskforce.
As the pandemic continued to evolve, and the general public was advised to wear face coverings in public, we decided to up our mask game.
We believe in living with the consideration of others in mind. We believe in wearing masks in public. And because of this, we feel it is our duty to design and create some great ones.
We are currently selling limited runs of quality 100% cotton reusable masks. Incorporating hand-painted, silk screened patterns and vintage prints, all of our masks have a pocket for a replaceable filter and a 4 ft. cotton rope tie for a comfortable fit.
With a focus on social responsibility, we currently donate half of all the masks made in Studio Holler to local and regional groups who are helping those most in need.
Based in Thomas, West Virginia.
